Anthony started at Bryden Wood in the middle of 2016, joining into the civil and structural team. Coming fresh from New Zealand, Anthony spent the first years of his career working as a civil engineer in the earthquake damaged city of Christchurch. The large quantity of work during the rebuild gave Anthony the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects from residential and commercial buildings to larger scale developments including hospitals, schools and industrial sites.
In addition to his design experience, Anthony has gained knowledge of environmental legislative processes and planning. With these requirements becoming a prominent consideration of any modern development, Anthony brings these skills into new UK developments to help resolve design conflicts upfront, introduce ‘green’ alternatives and reduce project timelines and construction delays. Ultimately this will result in the design of more environmentally friendly and sustainable developments.
Working in the UK offers Anthony an exciting opportunity to develop his skills through involvement in the diverse range of projects that Bryden Wood challenges itself to take on.
