Daria joined Bryden Wood at the beginning of 2013, having previously worked in several architectural practices in the UK and abroad, on projects ranging from theatres to high-end residential buildings. Initially Daria joined the team working on a large scale mixed-use residential development. She possesses a wide range of knowledge in Eastern-European building regulations and is a native speaker of Russian.
Currently Daria has undertaken a different role, in leading and managing GSK Front End Factory projects, which principally focus on the development of early stage design concepts and business case alignment. Daria has worked on several content sensitive projects, as well as other FEF projects including a large Vaccine Manufacturing Facility. For the latter project Daria supported the proposal of a system design method that optimised an inherited feasibility design, resulting in minimising the time from delivery through to completion of the project. Principal to Daria’s approach was creating smooth co-ordination towards a common aim, by focusing on client’s requirements while ensuring that everyone within the cross-discipline team was aware of their unique role. This resulted in a proposal that led to time and cost savings, and also importantly, presented a valuable insight into alternative methods of delivering new GSK facilities.
Daria is now project lead on the large, multi-disciplinary project ‘GSK Ulverston Biopharmaceutical Facility’. The project is fast-paced and has multiple stakeholders as well as a complicated team of collaborating companies. Managing communication between several project teams, including internal, external, and global teams, Daria facilitates the sharing of information, and maintains the project overview. Daria is also continuing her involvement as a GSK FEF project lead while working on this Facility project.
