Oscar Gaunt

Structural and Civil | Intermediate Engineer | MEng

Oscar joined Bryden Wood in 2012 as a graduate structural engineer and Revit technician. Initially he started working on the Anglian Water waste water treatment plant helping with a mixture of tasks from assisting with structural calculations and design to the production of Revit models. After this he was moved onto Gatwick Pier One where he took a more active role involved in building structural analysis models, co-ordinating the baggage services with structure using BIM and the production of Revit drawings along with all structural report documents.

Oscar then began work on the LOR Crossrail tunnels for Tottenham Court Road and Liverpool Street stations. Involved in the design from a very early stage of the project Oscar has carried out the structural calculations, produced models and investigated the unique use of modern building materials such as GFRC. Since then he has taken more of a managerial role, managing the time of drafters and delegating structural design work.
