Bryden Wood are currently seeking to recruit a Principal Chemical/Process Engineer to support our expanding process and manufacturing business. The role is based in our London office.
This role will enable an enthusiastic and motivated person to have real influence over the way that process engineering enhances Bryden Wood’s capabilities and in turn influences the industry for the better.
You will be a chartered chemical or biochemical engineer with broad experience of design and one or more of the following areas: process plant operations, commissioning, construction, project management, research and development. You will have experience across more than one sector and be able to demonstrate flexibility and curiosity. Most importantly you will have a drive for change, for doing things better and embracing future technology. Ours is fluid and innovative environment so you will need to be able to work independently whilst being able to communicate well with a wide range of co-workers and collaborators. Will provide leadership in a dynamic and free-thinking environment.
You have held positions of leadership or significant responsibility on more than one project or in more than one management position. You will have the ability to conceive and organise your own work and that of multi-discipline teams drawn from multiple organisations whilst contributing to our strategy and development. You will show the capability of generating, sharing and developing ideas and projects over a range of timescales.
You should demonstrate a deep understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals whilst having the ability to apply this knowledge in new ways. You will need to have sufficient experience to operate independently in two or more of the following sectors: Advanced Manufacturing; Biotechnology/Pharmaceuticals; Chemicals, Food and Drink/FMCG; Nuclear: Oil and Gas; Power Generation; Water.
You will need knowledge of and enthusiasm for computer-aided process engineering methods as you will be contributing to the development of disruptive new approaches to design and engineering.
