Whilst other sectors have transformed, construction productivity is low and has been static for more than half a century, at real cost to the global economy. Bryden Wood is a Tech-led team of Designers, Architects and Engineers that wants to increase the value of the built environment; across the design, delivery and built life; and free up resource to be better deployed elsewhere.
Our award-winning work with business and government is having a profound influence on the sector; closing the gap between construction and manufacturing to create a highly productive, digitally-led industry, which will reveal a new architecture of the digital age.
Over the last few years, Bryden Wood’s work has focused on originating a solution to the broken construction model; working smarter with data, designing to platforms, scaling assembly: in essence we are automating construction. Critically our mission is to open source this solution, to facilitate the adoption and roll out of this new approach in the UK and around the world. To create a movement that will affect the change the industry needs.

Bryden Wood are looking for several highly motivated and skilled applicants with an interest in off-site construction and DfMA. We are expanding our capacity and capability to push the boundaries of off-site manufacturing in the construction industry through data-driven design. Our goal is to move the industry toward manufactured solutions develop our industry-leading reputation.
Successful applicants will hold a Master’s degree in Architecture and/or Engineering. The ideal candidates will be self-motivated, pro-active and comfortable with working on unusual and innovative projects.
The role will involve overseeing work on a variety of projects, liaising with the client and leading members of our diverse team of Engineers, Architects, Product Designers, and Technicians in different offices to develop novel design solutions and advanced construction methods.
The role is to work primarily within Bryden Wood’s Systemisation Team which develops new construction systems, works on specialist DfMA projects, special facades etc.
Although the role is within the Systemisation Team, support will of course be provided by our Architect and Engineering Teams for new team members to obtain Architectural Part 3 or Engineering Chartership. Our training schemes are approved by RIBA/CIBSE/ICE.
