Bryden Wood were recently involved as part of the delegation for the UK Rail Mission to Singapore and Malaysia, jointly organised by the UK Government Department for International Trade (DIT) and the Railway Industry Association (RIA). The 4-day mission ran from the 24th to the 27th October and included a range of meetings with government and private sector businesses involved in the development and procurement of regional railway infrastructure as well as network operations.
The delegates also visited Singapore MRT Operations Control Centres as well as construction sites for new metro stations in both countries. Bryden Wood and the other mission delegates also attended the formal mission receptions at the residences of the UK High Commissioners to Singapore and Malaysia. As part of the mission, Adam Jordan from Bryden Wood gave a presentation regarding rail asset optimisation at the UK Rail Seminar “Malaysia Vision: The UK Experience” in Kuala Lumpur.
