Since graduating with a BSc and MSc in Environmental and Energy Engineering David has worked within the construction industry focusing on sustainable building design.

During this time he has helped deliver cost effective sustainable design on a range of projects from bespoke zero carbon residential homes to large complex multi-building commercial developments. Working on projects from concept to handover has furnished David with experience in the design, construction and post occupancy evaluation of the built environment. During this time David focused upon Low Carbon design through the use of Dynamic Simulation Modelling and is a CIBSE Accredited Low Carbon Energy Assessor. Since moving to Bryden Wood in 2017 David has continued to develop skills in building simulation, adding Thermal and Vapour Diffusion Finite Difference modelling, HVAC simulation, and Computational Fluid Dynamics to his competences.

Currently David is involved with the introduction of full systems modelling into the design of commercial offices and collaborating in the pioneering UK use of the NABERS methodology with the Better Building Partnership.
