Ivan joined Bryden Wood in 2017 at the same time as the opening of the new Barcelona office.

From a background of much larger engineering firm, he has a knowledgeable experience in the structural design and management of large scale and complex buildings.

During his career, he has lead the structural design team on a diverse range of projects, including one of Amazon newest Fulfillment Centers in Barcelona, a cutting-edge baggage handling building at Heathrow Airport, a new data center for CaixaBank and some top architectural projects such as the refurbishment of the Tabakalera building in Donosti and a new emergency management building in Reus. As technical leader, his key responsibilities were to provide optimum structural designs to meet project requirements and to ensure they were developed in accordance with the agreed timeline and budget. At Bryden Wood he has been involved in the structural design of a new hospital in Birmingham and the structural package for upgrading works at Heathrow Airport.

Ivan is used to work in multi-disciplinary teams and his aspiration is to design inspiring buildings in which engineering ideas help to shape design rather than simply facilitate the delivery of an architect-led solution. He also holds a Master in Architectural Management and Design.
