Sofia joined Bryden Wood in June 2017 as a structural engineer.

She has a meticulous eye for detail, a good understanding of site infrastructure and experience in the design of RC, Steel and Masonry structures.

Prior to joining Bryden Wood, Sofia has worked in a diverse range of projects in Greece and the UK. While working for a contractor in Greece, she was given the opportunity to experience the demanding environment of a construction site, learn to challenge the status quo and come up with efficient and effective structural solutions. Amongst other projects, she was involved in the design, setting out and construction of a windfarm substation.

In the UK she worked for a consultancy as a project engineer and was responsible for delivering a variety of projects, from challenging refurbishments and underpinning structures to new builds, within the residential and commercial sector. Using her analytical and problem solving skills she was able to develop and deliver designs that met the client’s needs.

Having a strong academic background and previous experience in both consultancy and construction environment, Sofia has developed a diverse skillset which she applies and continues to develop within the BW structural team.
