Alex joined Bryden Wood in the summer of 2016. With a vast range of first-hand experience and knowledge in the structural steel industry, he has found himself submerged into the Crossrail project. His time in the structural team consists of modelling, detailing and drafting highly accurate modules of the individual stations of Crossrail.
Prior to Bryden Wood, Alex has previously worked on and designed several structural related projects situated in both the UK & Europe; these projects involve the design of: Network rail bridges, ALDI supermarkets, Portal frame factories and mechanical airflow systems. From indulging in these wide range of projects, Alex has gained an insight of the methodology used to produce a design from initial concepts all the way to full construction on site with a breath but intensive use of project management.
Combined with his previous experience, Alex studied product design engineering in Liverpool where he was taught the fundamental design methods used to create forward-thinking solution’s while understanding the key importance of design for manufacture.
