Helen is an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a background in architecture, having completed an architecture degree at university. 

Her specialism of Building Physics brings together her broad experience of building design, energy demands and low carbon solutions. 

Helen promotes sustainable building design which delivers a tangible reduction in energy bills for building operators whilst considering the comfort of occupants.  She is passionate about creating sustainable low energy buildings and has had the opportunity to work projects from the earliest design stages through to completion, and on the ongoing maintenance and refurbishment of buildings.

Currently Helen is involved with the design of office buildings, influencing the proposals to meet stringent carbon emissions reduction targets whilst meeting wellness standards for its occupants.  She has also recently undertaken overheating assessments for residential developments, including risk assessments for mitigating the impact of heat waves and balancing overheating risk with requirements for well daylit spaces.
