Michael joined Bryden Wood in 2012 and works on both the structural and civil side of projects. Previously Michael worked purely as a civil engineer on projects ranging from large-scale strategic residential development to scientific research facilities. Since joining Bryden Wood Michael has expanded the civil capabilities of the office. Whilst soon after joining the practice he assumed the role of lead civil and substructure engineer on a number of school developments around London.
Michael has also developed into structural engineering and is currently the lead civil and structural engineer on a major expansion project at Gatwick airport and a new hospital in Birmingham. The project at Gatwick is now nearing completion and Michael has been involved through the design process and all of construction.
Michael is now looking to expand Bryden Wood’s civil expertise and is to include Flood Risk Assessments, detailed topographical and geotechnical modelling, advanced hydraulic design and road modelling.
